On the occasion of the 116th International Working Women's Day, NAICET successfully held the third themed event of Immersive Voice·Dean's Reading. Centering on the concept of Her Power, Dean Hong Yun combined her own rich experiences and profound insights to extend festive care and blessings to all female students of the college, leading them on an in-depth dialogue about women's strength and growth.
Dean Hong Yun is not only a National March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter, but also a standing committee member of the 12th Guizhou Provincial Women's Federation, a professor, a provincial expert, and has been honored as Guizhou Provincial May Day Women's Model, Guizhou Provincial Most Beautiful Worker, Provincial Teaching Master, and Baosteel Outstanding Teacher. Deeply loved and respected by her students, she is affectionately called Mom Hong. Closely aligned with NAICET's core values of International, Innovation, and Excellence, the event focused on women's growth and development in the engineering field, delivering warmth and positive energy.
During the sharing session, Dean Hong Yun guided the students to look back at female role models throughout history, interpreting the Her Wisdom in engineering and technology and breaking the stereotype that engineering is a man's world. Citing famous quotes and examples from both Chinese and international sources, she illustrated the resilient and intelligent power of women. In line with the 2026 International Women's Day global theme, Give to Gain, she encouraged all female students to push beyond self-imposed limits, deepen their professional skills, and with the mindset of empower yourself to empower others, shine brightly in the fields they are passionate about. This event effectively leveraged the guiding power of a role model, genuinely empowered the growth of female students, demonstrated NAICET's care and emphasis on their development, and further rallied the strength of all its female students to move forward courageously.
