On the occasion of the 116th International Working Women's Day, NAICET hosted the third session of “Immersive Voice · Dean’s Reading.” Centered on “Her Power,” Dean Hong Yun shared her personal insights to inspire female students and foster a dialogue on women’s growth.

Dean Hong Yun is a National March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter, a Standing Committee Member of the Guizhou Provincial Women’s Federation, a professor, and a provincial expert. Her honors also include Provincial Teaching Master and Baosteel Outstanding Teacher. Affectionately known as “Mom Hong,” she is deeply respected by students. The event reflected NAICET’s core values of “International, Innovation, and Excellence.”
Dean Hong guided students to reflect on historical female role models, breaking the stereotype that “engineering is a man’s world” through examples and quotes from both Chinese and international sources. Aligned with the 2026 global theme “Give to Gain,” she encouraged female students to overcome self-limitations, deepen their expertise, and embrace the principle: “Empower yourself to empower others.” The event effectively demonstrated the college’s commitment to supporting and empowering its female students.
